2019 Social Justice Sunday School
This even will be happening every Sunday at 4pm between Jan and May of 2019 at the Core-Neighbourhood Youth Co-op on 905 20 St. W.
Next UP is a national nonprofit that promotes leadership skills for youth. We seek frameworks to understand the interconnected nature of justice issues.
We recognize the need to prioritize leadership roles for youth and folks who experience intersecting forms of oppression, and thus can bring knowledge that supports structural change towards justice. We also recognize that institutions of knowledge production present barriers for these folks, and we are determined to hold space to learn skills and build community between youth who are engaged in justice projects.
Based upon principles of Popular Education, the Social Justice Sunday School seeks to challenge those hierarchies of knowledge and practice community-based and centered education for social justice. Please RSVP below to ensure your spot.
