Anna

Anna is a native Calgarian and social entrepreneur with a background in social innovation and nonprofit management. She works at Mount Royal University's Institute for Community Prosperity, where she develops co-curricular programs that encourage undergraduate students to develop a systems-thinking approach to address complex social, cultural, and environmental challenges. Prior to joining the Institute, Anna worked for a social-purpose consultancy that supported practitioners and organizations across sectors to amplify their social and environmental impact through systems change, organizational strategy, and social enterprise. She has co-founded several award-winning social-enterprises that exist to support marginalized women and children, and continues to provide strategic oversight and support to several boards and advisory committees across Alberta. Anna dreams of living in a city where strangers say hello to each other on the streets, where organizations work in proximity and collaboration rather than isolation and competition, and where all buildings are dog-friendly.
